The Pedagogical Versioning Protocol (PVP) is a minimum set of rules for recording, versioning and accumulating improvements in lesson plans. It transfers selected version-control ideas into pedagogical planning while remaining usable on paper, in a spreadsheet or in any compatible platform.

What PVP is - and is not

PVP is a protocol, not a teaching method, learning management system, assessment instrument or claim that one lesson is better than another. Its minimum flow preserves an explicit version, a recorded change, a declared context, a classroom signal and the provenance of the work.

Evidence boundary. A recorded use, an E0-E3 label, a DOI, an OSF record or a platform interaction does not by itself demonstrate learning, retention, transfer, teaching quality or efficacy. Those questions require appropriately designed studies.

Canonical source and status

  • The complete Portuguese Core 1.0 at tag v1.0.0 is the current normative source.
  • The English Core page is an informative presentation and does not replace the Portuguese text.
  • This website is a discovery and presentation layer. If it conflicts with the normative Core, the tagged Portuguese document prevails.
  • Future research, site revisions and the Gizhub platform have separate lifecycles and do not silently change Core 1.0.

Labels for the documented application history and contexts of a plan. They do not demonstrate teaching quality, learning, retention or efficacy.
